Should you have been into the shop recently or even watched one of our Facebook lives (https://www.facebook.com/mymagpiesnest1) you will be aware that Liz is working nights, you might have missed it.. she’s hardly mentioned it … Anyway the reason for this is because there is a lot of renovations and refurbishments planned this year at the Nest. It’s sort of like a 10 year birthday treat. Liz said “We needed to update the shop to stop it being stagnant, we always bring new products in but this year I wanted it to be more, bigger, better.” Liz is a firm believer in the experience of shopping and has always tried to create a memorable shopping experience for our customers.

We asked Liz what we can expect from the renovations and night works and she told us “the biggest change will probably be the moving of our toilet to the first floor, and putting extra loo’s in. I know this will be a welcome change for many customers who visit the café. I am also changing the shop layout downstairs, this is a three phased plan as everything has to be worked around other jobs. I’ve already set up a new seasonal area, and moved the Wrendale https://magpiesnest.co.uk/?s=wrendale&post_type=product and Gardening gifting https://magpiesnest.co.uk/?s=garden&post_type=product but there are more changes planned but I can’t do them until the toilets have moved! Another big change will be in the café it’s self as we plan to create a private room, and update the décor and put in a new kitchen.”

The renovations are expected to take until the start of April, but you will probably notice little changes each time you visit.
