Father’s Day Fundraising
I hope you all had a lovely Father’s day and let you dad, grandads and father-figures know how much they mean to you. If this Father’s day you were not able to celebrate with your dad – big hugs, I know how that feels. Father’s day has been celebrated in Europe since the middle ages a day for celebrating fatherhood, a similar celebration to Mother’s day. This year to mark Father’s day we were fundraising for Bloodwise, a charity that is super close to my heart as the research this charity do for blood cancer helped my dad have more time with his family. We were donating 5% from our own brand Father’s day gifts and charging £1 and had set ourselves the target of raising £100. This morning I’ve just totted up the sales and counted out the gift wrap and am delighted that we have raised £103.64 which takes our overall fundraising total for this charity to £2864.26 which I am thrilled with. Thank you all again for your support. This weekend its the stalybridge carnival, which we are hoping to take part in (as long as the mag mobile doesn’t break down!!) The carnival organisers have been working really hard to create a two day event. With performances from the local dance school and choirs in the square on Saturday with the carnival parade on Sunday. We of course are open as usual on both days, and should you need any brollies or pack away rain macs pop in we have just taken deliver of some new ones: https://magpiesnest.co.uk/?s=fulton&post_type=product Enjoy your weekend whatever your plans, and hope to see you soon x
