As you maybe aware one of our core values as a business is the environment. ( opening in 2013 we have always been looking for ways that we can lessen our impact on the environment. This has developed over the years and has seen us change lots of things in the shop to make sure we are being as green as possible, whether its recycling, the types of energy we use or simply getting involved in community projects. After a while it does become more challenging and this year we decided we would start to look for companies that had similar values that translated into their products. In January we welcomed the our first new eco supplier Keel Toys into the Nest for its environmental credentials.

Keel Toys have caught our attention with their range of 100% recycled soft toy range. These eco-friendly toys are manufactured and stuffed with 100% recycled polyester from plastic waste. Weighted with recycled glass beads, these floppy toys have been perfectly designed and are just a snuggly and fluffy as the other non recycled soft toys. There are over 30 wild characters in this range, so keep your eyes peel for more creatures from this range joining the nest over the next few months!

Established in 1947, Keel Toys is a third generation, family run business, under the directorship of brothers, Richard, David, John and James Keel. They are stocked in a number of well known stores in the UK including Hamleys, and Selfridges. hope you enjoy discovering this new range that will be sitting alongside our Jellycat range.
