On Friday 27th September, we hosted our third annual Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Gift Shop Café, and it was a wonderful day filled with community spirit, delicious cakes, and fundraising for an incredible cause. 💚
The whole team embraced the occasion by wearing green and making donations for a “non-uniform” day, which brought a fun and festive atmosphere to the café. Our amazing staff members also got busy in the kitchen, baking a delightful selection of cakes that were sold on a donation-only basis, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Alongside the delicious treats, we ran a raffle and a fun “Guess the Number of Cups of Tea” challenge, which added a playful touch to the event and kept everyone entertained.
Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful customers and the efforts of our team, we’re thrilled to announce that we raised £114 for Macmillan! 🎉 Every penny will go toward supporting those affected by cancer, and we’re so proud to contribute to this important cause.
We love how this event brings our community together each year, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s Coffee Morning. A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, and participated—you truly made a difference!
Also a huge shout out to the Tameside Correspondent who came down to same the cake and give our coffee morning some coverage – really appreciated 🙂 https://www.tamesidecorrespondent.co.uk/2024/09/27/stalybridge-business-has-a-good-thing-brewing/
Until next time,
The Gift Shop Café Team 💚
