July Fundraising Round Up

July 2024

This month at Magpie’s Nest, we were proud to support a local charity that is making a significant difference in our community. We chose to donate to St George’s Kitchen, a food bank group based out of St George’s Church Kitchen in Ridgehill.

St George’s Kitchen was established during the lockdown to provide essential meals to elderly and vulnerable residents in the area. Their dedicated team of volunteers continues to cook and deliver nutritious meals to those in need, even after the restrictions have lifted.

To raise funds for St George’s Kitchen, we held charity raffles during our live music nights and collected donations through our change pot on the counter. We believe that it’s important to give back to our local community, and St George’s Kitchen is a worthy cause that is making a real impact.

As we continue our monthly charity fundraising efforts, we’re excited to share that our next chosen charity for August is Willow Wood Hospice. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the total amount raised for Willow Wood Hospice in the coming weeks.
