Ashton Shop to Close.

Happy New Year to you all, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed welcoming in the New Year.

Every year at this time its good to reflect on the last year, and 2018 was a big year for us at the Nest. We were thrilled to win Retailer of The Year at the Pride of Tameside Business Awards and were shortlisted as one of the UK’s Best Small Shops. We redesigned and refitted the Stalybridge shop and moved into a more prominent, larger shop in Ashton.

However it hasn’t been an easy year, as I am sure many of you will be aware 2018 was a tough year for retail with many high street stores closing and reports of stores on the brink of closure. As a small business we are not immune to the economic climate, and this coupled with high running costs we have had to make the incredibly hard decision to close our Ashton shop. We have enjoyed being in Ashton and have met some lovely customers since our opening in 2017. We are saddened to be leaving Ashton, however the cost of running a business here is too high and despite our best attempts at reducing costs the business is simply not viable in the long term. A huge heartfelt thank you to our Ashton customers for your custom and support, we are so sorry we cant stay for you. We hope you might visit our Stalybridge shop which will remain open for business and is unaffected by the closure of our Ashton Shop.

Ashton customers with products on Layaway, don’t panic you can make payment over the phone at Stalybridge 0161 338 8262 when the Ashton shop closes, and we will deliver your products free of charge so as not to inconvenience you.
