The Summer Show Returns!
Next week we will be starting off a month of celebrations as we mark our 10th year in business!! We have got some great things planned for the entire month of June, which we hope you will like. To start things off we are going back to the beginning. When we first opened Magpie’s Nest in 2013 we used to do seasonal handbag & accessory shows. These would usually be at a venue and would showcase the new ranges from our brands. Customers would come along and have a little drink and some food while checking out the new collections. These were always a popular event, and I can’t remember (there isn’t a surprise!!) why we stopped doing them. ( I Think it coincided one year with our move into the current shop so we had to postpone it, then I just never got round to organising it.. 7 years later…) My favourite show was held in the piano bar upstairs at the Millpond. It was packed out, it was such a good night the usual shambles but everyone had a good time and we raised a decent amount of money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research at the time. For this event we will be donating ticket money to our charities of the month which our customers chose and they are Oldham Cats Rescue https://oldhamcats.co.uk/ and Street Paws https://streetpaws.co.uk/
We love animals here at the nest and when we saw these two charity nominations come in from customers in January we all agreed they should be the charity we support in June.
This years Summer show will be great tickets are £7 (use the code Magpie, to get a discount) which includes a welcome drink and your supper. You will be able to see the new season collections before anyone else, and receive a discount on any purchases made on the night.
As with pervious shows, we will be donating a percentage from our sales, which we will split evenly between the charities. There is even talk of a raffle! The night will be relaxed, with no pressure to buy, you are welcome to enjoy a first look at the newness and enjoy a couple of drinks in the café which will be open until 10pm.
