Now in its fifth year, Thinking of You Week (24 Sept – 30th Sep 2018) inspires people to create a wave of love, caring and happiness by sending greeting cards to different people during the week.

Sending cards generates positive feelings and well being. Science has shown that receiving a handwritten card is far more personal, creates a lovely warm positive boost and makes people feel far more special than receiving texts, emails or social media messages.

I came across Thinking Of You Week through one of our lovely suppliers. Instantly I thought that the campaign was a simple yet wonderful idea. In our busy lives we don’t often get time to see family and friends. This campaign is a lovely way to simply let people know we are thinking of them. It doesn’t have to be a birthday or celebration, its just a nicer way to say “Hi” that sure to make the recipient smile when they open the card.

Whilst we are not a card shop, we do have a select offering of beautiful cards many of which are handmade, some are even made locally. Why not send someone you haven’t seen in ages a lovely card this week to let them know you are thinking of them.  You can view our card range here https://magpiesnest.co.uk/product-category/greetings-cards-2/

One of the card ranges we stock is My Little Bee, these ‘Bee-autiful’ new greetings cards are designed and sketched by local Manchester artist Serena Renee Gorton. Serena’s work focuses on our beloved Bee and other animals and insects. We are proud to be the first stockist of Serena’s first collections ‘Bees’ and ‘Nature’ Please pop into our Stalybridge and Ashton stores to choose your very own design for all occasions, as we haven’t got them online just yet – but we will soon – promise! Serena’s cards are all blank inside and are like little miniature pieces of artwork you will want to keep, well after you have had them up on the sideboard.
