Introducing Magnus the Magpie. The official Magpie’s Nest Magpie.

Magnus has flown here and decided to make his home here in Stalybridge in February 2022. He has visited the town many times before, and has been a regular visitor to the shop since we opened in 2013. He loves all things shiny and decided that this would be the best shop for him to live in. When Magnus is not busy admiring all the beautiful gifts and shiny things in the gift shop, he can be found upstairs in the café taking in the view while working on his poetry. Magnus is a published poet, many will be familiar with his popular work ” One for Sorrow, Two for Joy” He lives off the royalties from his works, despite people often saying that Magpie’s take things from other birds, Magnus is self made and has his own creativity and vision. He is currently working on a rework of the popular title  “To Kill a Mocking Bird”  He does enjoy a good chatter, and when his mates visit they spend ages squawking especially in the morning over a coffee.

 

Magnus is handcrafted using only new materials and complies to International safety standards EN71, ASTM F963-07. This product may contain plastic pellets, stiffeners. Please remove the tag and plastic strip before giving it to a child. Recommended age 3 years and up. To clean product use a soft cloth, soap and warm water to remove dirt and then wipe with a clean moist cloth to remove soap. Leave to dry then brush gently.

UK Orders

Orders using standard delivery options (Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class) will usually be dispatched within 24 – 48 hours of the order being placed (but we always do this as fast as possible). You will receive an email from us letting you know your order has been dispatched and also one from Royal Mail with tracking details included.

If you are not in when your parcel arrives you will be left a card, with instructions for collection at your local Royal Mail sorting office or how to re-arrange delivery.

Please be aware that at certain times of year there can be seasonal delays to the postal service, these are out of our control unfortunately.

Orders placed after 1pm on Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.  Orders placed after 1pm on a Bank Holiday Friday will be dispatched and processed on the first working day after the Bank Holiday.

Next Day Delivery

Next Day Delivery Orders will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and will require a Signature.

Next day delivery orders must be placed before 1pm. Any orders placed after 1pm will not be guaranteed to reach you by the next working day. Any next day delivery orders placed on a Friday will not be dispatched until Monday.

The below are exceptions that will incur delays to the Next Day Delivery Service, if in any doubt please contact us via our CONTACT page.

European Orders

We are currently unable to deliver outside the UK due to Brexit and customs restrictions.
